                 ~~~~~~~Allergy Testing~~~~~~~
Cattery Visit
The most favorable way to test your allergies is by coming to our cattery to see how you react.  We would have you start by just being in the environment.  This can sometimes skew a test, simply because of the number of cats we have.  We would give you a kitten to pet (if available) and then a few different cats.  If you didn't react, we'd suggest rubbing your face in their fur, because that would be considered maximum exposure for you.
So far, we have not had a reaction when testing, but someday we will.  People with all sorts of different allergen levels come and test, some severe, some mild.  Even with this fact to date, we will insist you bring your inhaler and/or other allergy medications when you come, in case there is a reaction.
We cannot be held responsible if there is a reaction to either test.
Fur Sample:
If you are unable to come and visit, then the next best thing, is for us to send you a fur sample.  What we do is simply comb out one of our cats, put the fur in a bag, and send it to you.  You will need your allergy medications close by, in case of a reaction.  You will first open the bag, put your nose just inside, then venture to taking it out of the bag, putting it next to your nose, on your face, skin, and such.
$ Cost of allergy testing with us: $
Most Siberian catteries charge for these services.  My former belief was to not charge for these services because I wanted to offer these things simply as a way to be able to help others.  The agreement has always been that if there is not a reaction, then the potential buyer would verbally agree to purchase their kitten from us, or another cattery recommended by us.
Our policy as of September 19, 2009 is to charge for these services.  There are times where we send out from 5 to 10 samples per week.  This takes time and effort on our behalf, and tolerance from our beautiful cats.
If you purchase a kitten from us, the cost of testing will be deducted from your purchase price.
Cattery Visit:  $20
Fur Sample:  $25
We don't like charging for these services, but by doing so, we will know that the person requesting a way to test is serious and committed to their quest for a new pet!!
