Kiska Vania Siberian Cats

     We are very comitted to ensuring our cats are truly pure Siberian cats!  We love this breed of cats and it is very important to us that we breed them with the utmost respect for not only because they are our pets, but because they are very rare and we need to ensure that there are no genetic mishaps along the way.

     We are very careful when adding a kitten for breeding purposes to our cattery.  We do not want HCM in our lines, and we need to keep the allergenic levels very low.  That is the beauty of this breed of cat......they are not just simply wonderfully temperd and adorable snuggly beauties, but people that normally cannot have a cat or other pet because of allergies, have found that these cats allows them to have a pet.  These facts are very important to us in our breeding line, and we take every measure to ensure we keep them pure.

    The term hypoallergenic is defined in the Webster Dictionary as: "having little likelihood of causing an allergic response". As I mentioned before, part of our mission is to ensure that our cats have a very low allergenic level, but there is a possibility some people can still be allergic. We can discuss testing, but while most people (about 90%) who are allergic to cats have no problems with Siberians, there will be someone out there that is.  Our Siberians are  very low in the protein which causes allergy problems in most people. This is achieved by being very careful in our breeding program!
